Welcome to the Virtual RIVERE Ecological Center

Take a tour of the conceptual design and components of the Ecological Center we are building on the site of the Embrey Power Station. This virtual center will evolve to become your portal to the people, experiences, and innovations that take place within the physical center.

A World-Class Ecological Center

The RIVERE Ecological Center will be a world-class ecological center that serves as a collaborative hub for the people and organizations working to protect the Rappahannock River and strengthen the region it sustains. By providing high-tech, collaborative space for watershed research, environmental education, ecological innovation, and community engagement, RIVERE will accelerate the impact of existing partners - delivering lasting environmental, educational, and economic value for the entire region.

Data Visualization

A core mission of the RIVERE Ecological Center centers on leveraging immersive technologies to enhance watershed research, environmental education, and ecocultural outreach through the collection, integration, and dissemination of data. These data will serve as a critical link connecting community, researchers, educators, and the physical ecological center with the Rappahannock River.
